I soo admire how he seemingly effortlessly blends the bigness of what might be dubbed politics (but doesn’t feel political) with the ‘smallness’ of the speaker. I just revisited his poet of the week page and can’t believe I didn’t spend time with it before—probably my own personal overtime at its best problem. My favorite of the group is ‘Crisis,’ which really zooms in to the self. You guys really are amazing at leading me to great poets—thanks again for all you do

Timi has such a powerful way of melding the micro with the macro. "Crisis" is phenomenal. So glad you got to spend time with his work. Thank you for reading and thank you for sharing in the journey with us!

A combination of emotional angles I feel are rarely seen together. It's absolutely brilliant. Though it's nowhere explicit in the poem, it leaves me with a sense of survival out of spite, despite the impossibility of being understood. Certified banger.

Yes, the associative leaps are so powerful here, especially in communicating what they don't explicitly say. So glad you enjoyed this poem, Francis.

Sheesh, Timi. Every poem you write is one I want to read.

Wow, I loved this. Great use of syntax to create a rhythm with momentum and so heart wrenchingly relatable.
