Maya, I keep a pen + paper notebook compiled of quotes, tidbits from craft lessons, and my most favorite poems I stumble upon through my studies. I just added this one to my journal today. Thank you for bringing beautiful art to the world.

This is why I read poetry: I can’t always relate on an intimate level to what is expressed, but I so appreciate those who can share these intimacies so well that I have that moment of empathy. And I think it’s a type of sharing that women do better than men, so I’m also grateful for the insight…
