Love the staccato brevity of the sentences. It seems to support the existential immediacy of a reflection that is from the past, yet in the speakers mind right now

This was a gem. I can relate to the way memories and images pop and flash when I try to reflect on my own upbringing. Speaking or writing about family for me is never linear.
