No place is unsacred. Hard agree.

I wept when I learned of his death. His poetry spoke to me of my life, of the world, of so much that touched my heart, of the questions I didnt have answers for.

RIP dear Wendell. Hope you are relishing the silence from whence you came. Thank you for the prayer-poems. 🙏

Oh yes, Rebecca, that last stanza is priceless, like a deep meditation where we recognize the entire universe as our self, and silence as its essential nature. And silence is not emptiness, but is pregnant with the infinite potentiality of being, which is infinite awareness, also known as love, god, "I". Thank you, Only Poems, for posting this wonderful poem today! Namaste! <3

Oh goodness just the poem to read when thinking of WB. He has done so much for the world and will continue to with his words and teachings. This stanza:

“Accept what comes from silence.

Make the best you can of it.

Of the little words that come

out of the silence, like prayers

prayed back to the one who prays,

make a poem that does not disturb

the silence from which it came”
