I like this, it's like the whole poem is hiding, but in a sort of playful way. Very well done.

Really, I meant stark. Whittled words that paint scenes. And the poem is about something important. Tired of reading lint in belly button poems. (Oh, an idea. Maybe I'll write one of those.) :)

Brilliant. Granular and yet universal. Truth brutal enough to be gently delivered. Which in turn, gives us the intimacy of stepping back, and giving this prone flat shocked truth, the space to gather oxygen.
