A magnificent distillation of what we as poets hope we’re creating. I love publishing because it means strangers will read my work. I’ll almost never know what their response is, but it has the chance of making a splash in a pond I’ll never see, ripple into places I'll never know. This is worth doing.

Thank you! Ironically I forgot who wrote this poem or how to find it again: it’s a good one. I taught it on the first day of Comp 2 for years, a xeroxed handout from a colleague. Just as ephemeral as the subject…
