This poem is overwhelming. The more I read it, the more my heart aches. Maybe someday I will meet this Ukrainian writer, hopefully. I will certainly look for more of his writing. He understands what great poets feel.
I love the way it uses pov to show the blurring of us and them and the fragility of humanity and the universality of loss and grief and the wars we fight, both big and small. A lot is packed into this poem
