I wish people wouldn't ruin great poems with pretentious layouts. Let the words do the work (as they certainly do in this piece of writing). I can understand why the mediocre do pretentious layouts to try and disguise the mediocrity, but if you write something good, why would you want to be lumped in with that lot?

Loved this, really engaging format and I love the lowercase structure (except for Him of course). Would read a whole book of these.

What a powerful reimagining of the Eden myth. Every line is exquisite. What it says about hunger and women's roles in relationships. I can't say enough about this poem
